"In the growing scene of national post-rock, it has become increasingly difficult to stand out. Wohl appeared from nowhere to release a mature, complex and beautiful album, worth listening to again and again."

- Picnic Magazine (MEX)

Wohl is a four piece instrumental ensemble, formed in Guadalajara Jalisco in 2013. It consists of guitarists Angel and Samael, Amadeus on the bass, and Octavio on the drums. This line-up has been running in a consistently since 2016. With their music, the band tries to explore a vast range of emotions, conceiving a very open musical language that the audience can relate to, imprinting their own story and interpretation to the songs. Their unique musical language combines a wide variety of influences ranging from metal and rock to classical music.

''En Vida'' is the band's first studio album, released in May 2017. It was officially presented on December 2017 at Foro de Arte y Cultura, in Guadalajara, accompanied by local string quartet DisonanT, and audiovisually produced by EREGEBE Estudio.

In 2019 just in time for promoting their gigs at Live at Heart in Sweden & their Northern European tour Wohl’s new single “Ábaco” from the EP “Orophony of Sentiment” hit the stores.

Inspired by compatriots like “For Dummies“ and “Dj Perro” and international acts such as “Té, Pretend” and “At The Drive-In”; Wohl uses restless expression to seek balance for the solid self within the liquid flow of history, culture and noise. While visiting the Museum of Mexican History in Monterrey, Wohl was influenced by the concept of the pre-hispanic Mexican abaci, symbolising the timeless role of maths in resolving questions of scarcity and abundance. From this the track Ábaco took its final shape and can be summed up to transcend reason and emotions beyond their rigid limitations.

May 2020 they released the 2nd single from the same EP named "Cibolo".

“Cíbolo” is the strength of the voices that have been lost in the haze. A longing for reconciliation between the obscure realms of our soul and the tragic love for the infinite vitality that brings us to life and takes us back in its arms at the end of everything.

Across the silent plains Cibolo walks along, carrying the weight of a cold breeze. At a slow pace we raise the roar and lower our gaze as the memory of a fresh breeze, of a pristine forest, falls upon us like a rain of ashes. The bass in deep sleep, noctambulant percussions and haunted guitars subjugating the spirit of a dying landscape.
